The Centre's Aid To The State Is Sheer Deception
19 Aug 2016 11:27 AM

Hyderabad: The aid announced by the Central Government for the state of AP was a sheer deception and the state and the central Governments together were cheating the people of the state, exclaimed YSRCP MP YV Subbareddy. He spoke to the media in reaction to TDP central cabinet minister Sujana Chowdary's statement that the central Government had sanctioned Rs.1,976 crore for the state. He remarked that following their relentless agitation in the Lok Sabha in demand for the sanction of special category status to the state, it had been promised that a solution would be found within two days and some huge package would be granted, but there was nothing noteworthy.
Subbareddy complained that whatever had been mentioned in the reorganisation act were being given and nothing new. Reiterating the party's demand for the sanction of special category status to AP, he specified how the state would be benefited from it through industrial development. He mentioned that the Rs.450 crore given for the sake of capital city was hardly enough. He indicated that there was even a mention of Polavaram project. He mocked that the money sanctioned for the capital city was barely enough for painting and publicity.
