Chittoor: In a major shock to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, TDP activists from his native place have quit the party on Monday.
Fed up with TDP's corrupt rule, many TDP activists have joined the YSRCP from Chittoor district. As many as 100 TDP youth from Vemanapalli of Veernamala panchayath have switched their loyalties to the YSRCP in the presence of YSRCP's constituency incharge Chandramouli.
After welcoming them, Chandramouli unfurled the party flag. Speaking on the occasion, the YSRCP leader assured that Veernamala panchayath will be divided into four small panchayaths and develop them after YSRCP coming to the power.
Several YSRCP leaders took part in the programme.
