Hyderabad
: YSRCP MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarlu mentioned that AP was at the danger of becoming a desert due to the unlawful projects being built by Telangana Government on River Krishna and River Godavari. He slammed the Government of AP for its failure to prevent the projects and lift irrigation schemes since a year. He particularly blamed Chandrababu for not being able to object to the construction of those projects. Ummareddy appealed to the central Government to intervene in this issue. He announced that the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan would observe strike at Kurnool for three days from the 16th of this month to raise awareness about the importance of water resources and the impending danger of water scarcity. He called for the people of the state to protest at all mandal headquarters on the 17th of this month and to make YS Jagan's agitation a success.
