Amaravathi: Legislative assembly - legislative council joint budget sessions are happening for the first time at the temporary assembly building in AP's new capital, Amaravathi. On Monday, Governor ESL Narasimhan is going to address both the houses in the new building constructed beside the temporary secretariat of AP in Velagapudi, marking the commencement of assembly sessions.
Opposition YSRCP is going to confront the Government in the sessions regarding its forgotten promises, especially the sanction of special category status to the state and how it had been mortgaged for the sake of special package and to get out of Cash for Vote case. It is going to question the Government regarding the situation of promises like waiver of loans and stipend to the unemployed.
The ruling party got ready to counterattack the opposition as usual. It is reported that the budget sessions shall continue till the 28th of this month after the budget is introduced on the 13th.
