Prakasam: A group of students from A1 global engineering college in Markapuram met AP Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and pledged their support to his Praja Sankalpa Yatra. Today marks the 100th day of YS Jagan's historic padayatra.
Several students and college lecturers expressed solidarity with YS Jagan by holding placards and demanded special status for AP. They requested the YSRCP chief to intensify the yatra to get special status.
The College chairman Mirza, lecturers Samsher and Alibeig, students Syed Kasimvali, Arif and Prashanth met the party chief to congratulate him for the success of Yatra.
During their interaction, they also poured out their woes about the prevailing conditions in their villages that had made their life miserable.
"The cultivated tobacco and legumes in 15 acres were hit by drought. We did not get the minimum support price for the crops. I came to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to share my problems," said M. Sridevi from Kellampalli.
