Prakasam: The party ranks of the YSR Congress Party are celebrating its 8th anniversary today, across the two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Speaking on the occasion, Political Secretary to the YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy has said that the party has seen many difficulties through the past eight years. "YS Jagan has faced many challenges since the inception of the party. After resigning from the Congress party, he has won the Kadapa bye-elections with a huge majority of five lakh votes," he said.
"Both the Congress and TDP have ganged up to send YS Jagan to jail naming him in false cases. The party has fought bye-elections in various MLA and MP constituencies successfully after the influx of various leaders into the party. From the 67 MLAs the party has won in the 2014 elections, CM Chandrababu has bought 23 of them for crores of rupees," he pointed out.
"All sections of the people in the state are facing issues and this is the reason YS Jagan's historic Praja Sankalpa Yatra is being received very well by the people. With this kind of recognition to the people's leader, the YSRCP is set to certainly win at least 150 seats in the state Assembly," he added.
