Tadepalli, May 30: YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, alongside party leaders, unveiled the poster for the statewide "Backstab-Day" protest at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, condemning Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s administration for betraying the people of Andhra Pradesh.
The coalition government is failing to implement even a single election promise in its first year, resorting to deceptive tactics to seize power and plunging the state into chaos.
Sajjala asserted that Naidu’s governance has been marked by unprecedented deceit, with no regard for the welfare of the people. “Chandrababu Naidu has not only failed to fulfill any promise but has also systematically destroyed the revolutionary systems established by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who implemented 99% of his promises within his first year,” Reddy stated. He highlighted Jagan’s legacy of delivering transparent, people-centric governance, contrasting it with Naidu’s anarchic rule, which has dismantled welfare schemes and created an atmosphere of fear.
The YSRCP will organize statewide "Backstab Day" protests on June 4 to expose Naidu’s failures. Party workers and citizens will hold rallies across constituencies, submitting memoranda to local officials demanding the immediate implementation of promised schemes. Reddy emphasized that these protests aim to hold the government accountable and awaken Naidu to the public’s outrage. “The coalition government’s reckless borrowing of ₹1.37 lakh crore without transparency is a direct betrayal of the people who voted for them,” he remarked.
Sajjala further criticized Naidu for openly admitting the difficulty in fulfilling election promises, accusing him of resorting to new distractions like the “P-4” narrative to evade responsibility for poverty alleviation. “Naidu’s history of deception, from betraying his own mentor in 1995 to misleading the public in 1999, 2014, and now 2024, is unparalleled. His brazen refusal to honor commitments is a slap in the face of every citizen,” Reddy declared.
The poster unveiling ceremony was attended by former ministers Dharmana Krishnadas, Adimulapu Suresh, Ambati Rambabu, Sake Sailajanath, MLCs Lella Appireddy, Kalpalatha Reddy, Kumbha Ravi, former MLA Malladi Vishnu, and leaders Ankireddy Naga Narayana Murthy, N. Chandrasekhar Reddy, Kommuri Kanakarao, Challa Madhusudhan Reddy, Manohar Reddy, Perada Tilak, among others.
