Tadepalli, June 11: YSRCP Women’s Wing President and MLC Varudu Kalyani lambasted the coalition government for exploiting women as pawns in its diversionary political tactics. Speaking to the media at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, Kalyani condemned the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for orchestrating attacks on Sakshi media offices by inciting women activists to deflect attention from the government’s failures. “It is utterly disgraceful that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is stooping to such low tactics, using women to shield his administration’s incompetence,” she asserted.
TDP’s calculated strategy of deploying women activists to target Sakshi offices across the state over the past few days, followed by TDP workers who executed the attacks. TDP is attempting to falsely pin the blame on YSRCP to further its malicious agenda. “This is not just an attack on the media; it is an assault on truth and democracy. The coalition government is desperate to silence voices that expose its governance failures,” she said, emphasizing that such conspiracies will not suppress the people’s demand for accountability.
She pointed the overwhelming public support for YSRCP president and former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who continues to draw thousands wherever he goes. “Unable to tolerate Jagan’s connect with the masses, Chandrababu and Lokesh are resorting to cheap diversion tactics,” Kalyani charged. TDP’s audacity to demand an apology from Jagan over a journalist’s remarks in a Sakshi TV debate, questioning whether Chandrababu would apologize for his derogatory comments about women. “Chandrababu’s remarks insulting women’s dignity, like questioning their right to motherhood, are a stain on his leadership. He owes an apology to the women of Andhra Pradesh,” she demanded.
Kalyani underscored the stark contrast between YSRCP’s women-centric schemes like Amma Vodi, Cheyutha, and Aasara, which empowered women during its five-year tenure, and the coalition government’s failure to provide even basic safety. “Under Chandrababu’s regime, women are neither protected nor empowered; they are exploited for political games,” she said. She also slammed the coalition for its financial mismanagement, noting that it amassed Rs. 1.58 lakh crore in loans within a year, 44% of the total debt incurred during YSRCP’s five-year rule, while failing to implement even one Super Six scheme fully.
Calling for an end to the coalition’s deceitful politics, Kalyani warned that such tactics would not sustain the government’s faltering regime. “Women are already disillusioned by the coalition’s false promises and governance failures. Chandrababu must stop these conspiracies and focus on delivering for the people,” she urged. The YSRCP Women’s Wing demands that the Chief Minister cease using women as shields for his political survival and address the state’s pressing issues with sincerity.
