YSRCP landslide acknowledges Govt. policies

Positive vote for CM 's performance

Amaravati: Attributing the landslide victory in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to good governance of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSRCP has said the resolute mandate reflects the endorsement of people's faith.
The groundswell of support is an acknowledgment of policies of the Government and has blown the Opposition away even before it could feel the wind.

Speaking to media at multiple locations YSRCP leaders said the wefare schemes being implemented and the keeping up of promises by the Chief Minister had blunted the false propaganda of Opposition.

Government Advisor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said people have blessed YSRCP with overwhelming mandate as they have trusted the welfare activities implemented by  Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in last twenty months. Terming the ULB results as people's victory, Sajjala thanked the people of the state for their trust in Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said the people have voted for YSRCP in 2019 with 'hope' as they were fed up with Naidu and the GP and ULB vote is positive and performance based. He said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy didn't campaign for ULB elections, haven't conducted a press conference, didn't release any video message seeking votes as he was confident that performance fetches votes, as it did.

He slammed Naidu for cursing people of the state before elections and leaving for Hyderabad on the day of results jumping ship and deserting his cadre.

YSRCP General Secretary and MP Vijayasai Reddy expressed gratitude for the immense support of the people in the ULB elections and siad the results  has  taught a lesson to TDP which has been propagating that YSRCP doesn't have  grip in urban areas and added that there is no doubt that people will support the governance of YSRCP for another 25 years. He recalled the allegations of TDP on EVMs in  2019 general elections and said the ballot voting in ULB elections has also has  given landslide to YSRCP.

Municipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said YSRCP has won with absolute majority in all the municipalities except one municipality each in YSR Kadapa and Anantapur districts.  Though TDP has won 12 wards and YSRCP won 11 wards in Mydukur municipality, YSRCP candidate will become Chairperson with Ex Officio votes. He said the absolute mandate in ULB elections has proved the fact that the people in urban areas also endorsed the transperent, non-corrupt, dedicated  governance of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said YSRCP government has released welfare calender and strictly implemented it.
He said Naidu and his son Nara lokesh have used abusive language, tried to provoke people, tried to politicise Amaravati and Vizag Steel plant, yet people voted for YSRCP as they lost the people's trust. He said YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will decide the candidates for  Chairpersons and Mayors to Municipalities and Corporations.

Hailing Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for his governance which resulted in clean sweep of ULB elections, APIIC Chairperson RK Roja said it is only possible for the Chief Minister to gain such a huge trust from people. She said people from Srikakulam to Chittoor have voted for YSRCP in the same manner. She slammed Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan for leaving for Hyderabad and suggested them to better confine to that place.

MLA Ambati Rambabu came down heavily on Naidu for provoking people of Guntur and Vijayawada and said the absolute mandate in ULB elections is a proof to the fact  that people have accepted and supported decentralised development and the concept of  three capitals. He said the municipal  manifesto released by Naidu nor his false propaganda saved TDP in ULB elections and people trusted the integrity of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Terming Pawan Kalyan and Nara Lokesh as tourists to Andhra Pradesh, the MLA said they have publicised that they had  good lead in panchayat elections as they were held with out party symbol and became silent for ULB elections as they were held with party symbol. Ambati asserted that YSRCP would continue the trend and clean sweep upcoming ZPTC, MPTC elections and also Tirupati bypoll.
