YS Jagan To Be Sworn In Today

Vijayawada: Chief Minister-designate of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who won the recent Assembly elections with a thumping majority, is all set to take oath as the new Chief Minister of AP today at 12.23 pm. YS Jagan will be the second Chief Minister of bifurcated Andhra Pradesh.
The stage is set for the swearing-in ceremony of YS Jagan at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada.
Governor of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ESL Narasimhan on Wednesday reached Vijayawada where YS Jagan called on him, informed him of the arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be administered the oath of office by Governor Narasimhan in the presence of several VVIPs, including Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, DMK President MK Stalin and leaders of various political parties.
More than 20,000 people including all the MLAs, MLCs, MPs of YSR Congress party have been invited for the ceremony.
Around 30,000 people are expected to attend the ceremony at the IGMC Stadium and the Krishna district administration has made elaborate arrangements with 5,000 police personnel deployed at the venue. The stadium has been divided into 18 galleries for the convenience of attendees. 14 giant LED screens have been set up across the city to stream the oath-taking ceremony live.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, who led YSRCP in the recently concluded Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls, bagged 151 seats in the 175 member assembly.
