Redbook governance took Satish Kumar’s life

Anantapur, Nov 15: YSRCP spokesperson and former MP Gorantla Madhav strongly condemned the ruling TDP-led coalition for politicising the death of former TTD AVSO and CI Satish Kumar and orchestrating a conspiracy to implicate YSRCP leaders in the Parakamani case. Addressing the media at the YSRCP office in Anantapur, he said Satish Kumar’s death is nothing short of a government-driven killing, and demanded an immediate CBI probe.
Madhav stated that Satish fell victim to Chandrababu Naidu’s “Red Book governance,” where BC officers, political opponents, and even innocent people are targeted through false cases and brutal harassment. He compared the ruling coalition’s conduct to Chandrababu's betrayal of TDP founder NTR for political gain, saying the same political cruelty is now evident in Satish’s case. He accused the government of using Satish’s death to launch propaganda against YSRCP and to deliberately frame party leaders.
He said the condition of the police force has deteriorated drastically under the coalition. Officers have no security, many have transferred themselves out of the state, some have resigned, and others live in constant fear. He said harassment in the name of inquiries, endless summons, and politically dictated arrests have become routine. He contrasted this with the previous YSRCP government where AP Police earned national respect and awards, while today police families fear for their safety and careers.
Madhav said Satish himself confided to family and close associates that SIT officers threatened him severely and pressured him to give statements naming YSRCP leaders, particularly former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, under Sections 161 and 164. He said Satish was told he would be jailed unless he complied. He alleged that the State Police Headquarters and the TDP office were jointly coordinating this conspiracy. He also said a rowdy named Lakshmana Rao was brought into the SIT interrogation room to intimidate Satish, proving how badly the system has collapsed.
Madhav demanded answers about the unexplained 5.30-hour gap between Satish leaving home at 7 pm and reaching the station at 12.30 am. He said railway police, TTEs, RPF personnel, and 54 co-passengers must be questioned to establish what happened inside the train. He expressed suspicion over the fact that Satish’s family members, media, and even relatives were barred from the body location and that police seized his wife’s phone and restricted family movement.
He said TDP leaders launched false propaganda even before police inquiry or post-mortem, accusing YSRCP of murder, which exposes a pre-planned plot to frame the party. He reiterated that the Parakamani case had been resolved legally in Lok Adalat and that there is no evidence of wrongdoing by YSRCP leaders. All false narratives were created only to politically damage the party. He demanded a full and impartial CBI investigation to uncover the truth and punish all those responsible for Satish Kumar’s death.
