Political- police nexus in Palnadu exposed

Narasaraopet, November 8,: Former Minister and senior YSRCP leader Vidudala Rajini submitted a formal representation to the Palnadu District SP demanding a transparent investigation into politically motivated false cases being registered against her and YSRCP cadres. She condemned the misuse of police machinery to settle political scores and vowed to pursue a legal and constitutional fight to protect democratic values and citizens’ rights.
Addressing the media, Rajini stated that certain police officials, acting under the influence of ruling TDP leadership, were indulging in targeted harassment and fabricated FIRs. “This is a clear case of political vendetta. Instead of upholding law and order, a few officers are operating like partisan agents. Their actions are not just unethical but a direct assault on democracy,” she asserted.
Rajini highlighted that false cases were booked linking her to an individual, Battula Sree Ganesh, who is actually a TDP supporter involved in a cheating case related to job fraud dating back to TDP’s tenure. She pointed out that even victims had approached Minister Lokesh earlier, yet police falsely named her and her staff in the case. “When TDP leaders are accused, no action. When we question corruption, illegal gambling dens, ration and gravel mafia—false cases are slapped on us,” she said.
She further alleged rampant illegal activities in Chilakaluripet constituency—ration mafia, gravel mafia, open gambling clubs—while police remained silent. “But the same police show extraordinary enthusiasm in fabricating cases on YSRCP leaders. This selective policing is shameful,” she said.
Calling out specific officers, she warned: “Uniforms are meant for service, not to wear political scarves. We will not bow down. I will move National Human Rights Commission and file defamation cases. No officer or political master misusing the system will be spared.”
Rajini stressed that YSRCP respects law and institutions but will fight back against abuse of power, stating, “Those turning police stations into TDP offices will face the law. We are on the side of the people and the Constitution.”
