Naidu govt abandons employees’ Welfare

Tadepalli, Sep 15 : YSRCP Employees & Pensioners Association President Nalamuru Chandrasekhar Reddy strongly condemned the Chandrababu-led coalition government for neglecting employees’ welfare. Speaking to the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he said employees are contributing regularly towards the health scheme, yet health cards remain non-functional, with private hospitals refusing treatment. He cited the tragic case of RTC conductor Lakshmi’s husband in Ongole, who died after KIMS Hospital denied treatment despite having a health card, exposing the government’s criminal negligence.

He stated that the coalition regime has unleashed political vendetta against police officials. In Palnadu, CIs Jayakumar and Shameemullah were suspended and senior officers targeted simply for not siding with the TDP earlier. “The government is misusing the police machinery for political interests while turning a blind eye to daily attacks on employees across the state,” he said.

Chandrashekar further charged that the coalition is dismantling the Secretariat and village/ward system. Volunteers were exploited and removed, while employees are burdened with impractical surveys and OTP-based reporting. Despite repeated appeals, employees’ demands remain ignored:
    •    No PRC implementation, DA or IR
    •    No regularization of contract staff
    •    Pensioners deprived of additional quantum of pension
    •    Pending arrears and housing sites denied

He warned that frustration among Secretariat staff is growing, and if corrective steps are not taken immediately, employees will be forced into agitations. “This is an anti-employee government that has failed in its basic duty of protecting its workforce,” he concluded.
