*Massive jolt to TDP as 100 families join YSRCP in Ponnur*

Tadepalli, June 10: In a significant development, nearly 100 families from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Ponnur constituency joined the YSR Congress Party under the leadership of Ponnur YSRCP In-charge Ambati Murali. The new entrants were formally welcomed into the party by YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who draped them with party scarves.
Addressing the gathering, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy stated that the Chandrababu Naidu government has pushed Andhra Pradesh backwards and turned the State into an atmosphere marked by lawlessness and political vendetta. He claimed that capable police officers are being sidelined while political opponents are being targeted through false cases and misuse of the police machinery. Referring to the Mamillapalli incident, he said the conduct of the police had attracted national attention and criticism.
Sajjala urged party workers to intensify their struggle for the people and demonstrate the party's strength in the upcoming local body elections. He congratulated the YSRCP cadre in Ponnur for standing firmly under the leadership of Ambati Murali despite political pressure and called upon them to continue their fight against what he described as the alleged excesses of the ruling establishment.
