Tadepalli, May 28: YSR Congress Party Eluru Parliament In-charge and State Youth Working President Sunil Kumar Karumuri strongly criticized the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government, stating that TDP’s Mahanadu has turned into a political drama stage aimed solely at diverting public attention from the complete failures of the government.
He said that after completing two years in power, the government has neither development works nor fulfilled promises to showcase before the people. Instead of governance, the coalition government is surviving entirely on diversion politics, abuse campaigns, and continuous attacks against former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy garu and the YSRCP.
Sunil Kumar Karumuri stated that Nara Lokesh’s announcement of providing 33% reservations for women is nothing but “advanced credit chori,” as women’s reservations are already moving toward nationwide implementation. Before speaking about women’s empowerment, the government must first answer the women of Andhra Pradesh about the promises made before elections.
He pointed out that the much-publicized Aadabidda Nidhi scheme remains unimplemented even after two years and three budgets. Women were promised three free gas cylinders every year, but only one or two cylinders have been provided so far. Free bus travel was diluted and restricted only to limited categories. The promised ₹4,000 pensions for SC, ST, BC, and Minority women above 50 years of age were never delivered.
He further alleged that nearly 20 lakh children were excluded from Talliki Vandanam, while several welfare schemes introduced by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy garu to strengthen women financially, including Aasara, Cheyutha, EBC Nestham, Kapu Nestham, Sunnavaddi, and Jagananna Thodu, were completely dismantled by the coalition government.
“After betraying women on every major promise, the coalition government is now desperately trying to project itself as a champion of women’s empowerment through publicity stunts and diversion politics,” he said.
Sunil Kumar Karumuri also remarked that despite winning 164 seats, the ruling alliance cannot speak for even five minutes without mentioning YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s name. “That itself shows who is insecure and afraid,” he said.
He accused the government of focusing entirely on illegal cases, revenge politics, harassment, and propaganda instead of governance and public welfare. The people of Andhra Pradesh, he said, have now clearly understood that it is Chandrababu Naidu’s government that fears even the name of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
