Liquor replaces welfare measures

Tadepalli, August 25: YSRP has strongly resented that poor people are deprived of education and medicare under the coalition government but liquor has been flowing across the State.
Speaking to media here on Monday, former MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu said, the liquor policy of the coalition is meant for making money for its leaders at the cost of the health of the poor.
Permit rooms, besides wine shops have become curse on part of the poor. In the 4,380 permit rooms and others liquor is sold above MRP.
Liquor is freely available all over the State and belt shops are set up by Chandrababu to benefit TDP cadre while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought light into the lives of poor through welfare schemes.
During YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's term the revenue on liquor was coming to the government while in the coalition government it is being pocketed by Party workers.
In all 3736 bars have allotted TDP cadre and Chandrababu has disbursed Rs 1,100 crore towards privilege fees to his people.
