Tadepalli, June 20: Former Minister Sake Sailajanath strongly criticised the TDP-led coalition government, accusing it of plotting to harm former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking at a press conference at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he questioned whether Chandrababu Naidu was endorsing open threats made by his party leaders, including TDP senior Buchhaiah Chowdary who publicly said he would behead YS Jagan. Sailajanath also condemned the government for intentionally failing to provide security during YS Jagan's public tours despite clear threats.
He alleged that the law and order situation has deteriorated under Chandrababu’s leadership, with a sharp rise in violence against YSRCP leaders. He revealed that over 766 attacks and attempts to murder YSRCP members have taken place in just one year, leading to the deaths of more than 370 people. Shockingly, even social media activists and senior journalists like K. Srinivas Rao (KSR) were targeted with false cases, prompting Supreme Court intervention.
He further stated that instead of addressing these alarming trends, the government is distracting public attention by politicising a film dialogue placard shown during YS Jagan’s rally. He said this was a deliberate attempt by TDP to divert from real issues raised by YS Jagan regarding the state’s financial collapse and failure of Super Six schemes.
Sailajanath exposed that the placard shown during the Rentapalla rally was held by a TDP member named Ravi Teja Bodde, who even possessed an official TDP membership card. He concluded by alleging that the placard controversy is a manufactured distraction by the TDP, which is unable to face YS Jagan’s growing popularity and rising public support. He warned that these conspiracies would only expose the ruling coalition’s insecurity and misgovernance further.
