Former Minister RK Roja criticized CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan
Tadepalli, Feb 24: Former Minister RK Roja criticized CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for misleading the people and the Governor in the Assembly.
She accused Chandrababu of lying before the Governor and failing to provide clarity on key sectors like education, healthcare, agriculture, and irrigation.
Roja highlighted that despite making 143 promises, including the "Super Six," Chandrababu offered no clear five-year plan, instead focusing on Vision 2047. She slammed the TDP coalition for increasing liquor prices and burdening the public with Rs. 15,000 crore in inflated electricity charges while misleading the Governor about rate hikes.
She also pointed out broken promises under the "Thalliki Vandhanam" scheme and the unfulfilled Rs. 20,000 support for farmers. Labeling Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan as "political twins of deceit," she criticized their failure to provide jobs, removal of existing posts, and denial of IR and PRC benefits to employees.
Roja praised former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s commitment to public welfare and condemned the ruling alliance’s refusal to grant rightful opposition status, calling it an attempt to silence dissent and hide corruption. She questioned the denial of PAC leadership to the opposition and selective media access to the Assembly.
Mocking Pawan Kalyan’s contradictory stance, she suggested he resign as Deputy CM if he truly wanted opposition status. Roja warned of growing public outrage, citing protests by Group-2 aspirants, and vowed to fight alongside the people to oust the alliance government.
“If opposition status is not granted, who will voice the concerns of the people?”, she asked.
