Coalition filling false cases

Tirupati, July 22: YSRCP has come down heavily on coalition government for filing false cases in the liquor scam that was not there by fabricating them with vendetta and asserted that what is going on now is a political trial and the liquor scam in the coalition government is the real one.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said the vindictiveness of the Government is exposed in the fact that the same sections and charges Chandrababu Naidu faced in the liquor scam were duplicated on YSRCP leaders.
This shows the vindictiveness of the government and the real scam is now going on in the Chandrababu Naidu government with all the 3,760 liquor shops going to TDP, JSP activists and are open day and night, selling at higher prices and the traders and ruling party leadership sharing the spoils. There are commissions from every shop which runs into crores of rupees. This apart belt shops are open in all the villages and liquor is sold at exorbitant rates and all the collection money is going up the ladder. The government is trying to legalize the private bars attached to wine shops by announcing permit rooms, which further increases the kickback amount, he said.
While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has tried to regulate the liquor sale by increasing the rates and closing down the number of outlets while Chandrababu Naidu has been encouraging people and has been pushing the liquor sales up and this has begun right from the election campaign.
Though sales have increased during the coalition term, the revenue has come down drastically which is evident that there is a big scam going on, he said adding that the commission to traders has been increased from nine percent to 14.5 percent only for kickbacks.
The same distilleries for which Chandrababu Naidu has given permission were run during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy term and no new permission was given. Yet, people close to our leadership, including Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, PV Mithun Reddy, Dhanunjaya Reddy, Krishna Mohan Reddy and others were booked on false cases and used the sections which Chandrababu Naidu has been facing in the liquor scam during his earlier term, he said.
