Chandrababu has no moral right to be CM: YS Jagan

Kakinada, July 3: Expressing surprise over Chandrababu Naidu still not being arrested in the cash for vote scam, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has been spending the ill-gotten wealth for horse trading in Telangana State and was caught red-handed and he has no moral right to continue in office.

“Though there were audio visual proofs of the involvement of Chandrababu Naidu in the scam, I fail to understand as to why he is not being arrested and Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to continue as Chief Minister,” the Leader of Opposition said here on Friday.

It is unprecedented in the history of the country for a Chief Minister to involve in bribery case involving croes of rupees as the price fixed by him was between Rs 5 crores to Rs 10 crores per MLA which runs into Rs 150 crores.

TDP leaders are finding fault with the exposure in television channels, but the same Chandrababu Naidu and his men have defended a channel, close to the TDP, when it ran a sting operation at Raj Bhavan involving the then Governor ND Tiwari.

“Chandrababu Naidu has preached morals and ethics and demanded for the recall of the Governor. When he and his follower were caught on the video tape the tune suddenly has changed. How can there be different yardsticks to different persons. This is the dichotomy of Chandrababu Naidu and he has no moral right to continue in the office.

The Section 8, which is part of the State Reorganistaion Act, is being raised by Chandrababu Naidu time and again only as a cover up bid,” said.
