Mekapati Slams ‘Yellow Media’

Strongly depricating the 'Yellow Media's misinformation campaign, YSRCP Congress senior leader and its parliamentary party leader Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy has said that there was no truth in the propaganda that he and his brother were leaving YSRCP.
Addressing a Navaratnala Sabha in Nellore on Thursday, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy said the propaganda was false and motivated. There was no question of his leaving the YSRCP. The media houses that are favourably inclined to the ruling Telugu Desam Party have dished out stories that Mekapati was in touch with the BJP leaders and was planning to defect to the BJP. Clarifying on that Mekapati said meeting BJP members was part of the preparations for the monsoon session of Parliament. Usually, the Speaker and the Parliamentary secretary call for all-party meetings and it was during these meetings that I met the BJP leaders. It was a meet aimed at finalising the business of the house, he said and added that nothing more should be read into the meet.
He said he has complete faith in the party and its leadership and there is no truth in the motivated stories being doled out by a section of the media. He also said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would soon tour Nellore district. Party MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy was also present.
