Hyderabad, Jan 31,
2013: Fifty Telugu migrant workers, who were held up in Dubai for a few months unable
to return to Andhra Pradesh due to being penniless, returned to Hyderabad
Wednesday night thanks to the initiative taken by the NRI wing of the YSR
Congress Party.
A team of leaders led
by Medapati Venkat, YSRCP NRI wing convener, left for Dubai and handed over them
flight tickets for their return journey to India. Party Central Governing
Council member K. K. Mahender Reddy arranged the flight tickets on behalf of
the party.
Mahender Reddy said it
was unfortunate that both the Central and the state governments have abandoned
the migrant workers to their fate even though they were granted pardon by the
UAE Government.
The team who flew to
Dubai consisted of Medapati Venkat, Jitta Ramachandra Reddy, Peddisetti Prasad,
Kala, Anand, Ramesh Reddy, Sai Reddy and Brahmananda Reddy.
