YSRCP hails death penalty in Nirbhaya case

Hyderabad, Sept 14, 2013: YSR Congress Party has joined the nation in hailing
the death sentence slapped on all four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape case.

“We welcome the judgment awarding death sentence to all four convicts of
the December 16 gang rape case and believe that justice
has prevailed,” party spokesperson Gattu Ramachara Rao told reporters here on Friday

The gang rape and heinous murder of the 23-year Nirbhaya has shocked the
collective conscience of the society, the judge has said while delivering the
verdict.

Crimes against women have to be kept under check and we demand that
stern action should be taken  on guilty and provide security for women,
Ramachandra Rao said.
