Hyderabad: YSRCP's president of East Godavari district, Kurasala Kannababu informed that YSRCP would perform uncompromising struggle against the anti-people rule of the TDP Government in the upcming municipal elections. After the review meeting at the party's central office, he spoke to the media and informed that YSRCP president YS Jagan had called for everybody to get ready for the municipal elections.
Kannababu informed that municipal elections would take place in 9 districts of the state. YS Jagan had appointed in-charges to work in the respective areas for the elections, he informed. YS Jagan had encouraged team work among the party cadre and the party would get ready from the 11th of September. Kannababu also mentioned that Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress would continue to be held. He stated how discontent people were towards Chandrababu's rule.

Due to the Government's negligence
Kannababu mentioned about YS Jagan's intention to choose the candidates with interest to service and local influence. Prominence was also given to loyalty, he said. Kannababu slammed the elimination of thousands of voters' names in the name of verification. He remarked that these elections were supposed to happen long back and it was only the Government's negligence that had postponed them. The court had instructed for the elections to be held within November, he added. He confided that YSRCP would stand by the side of the people and work for their benefit.
Tyrannical rule of the yellow party
Kannababu complained that the Government was attempting to snatch lands from farmers of Tuni and sell them to private companies. He slammed the behaviour of the police of East Godavari district. He condemned the indifference shown by the Government towards farmers. He criticised how one leader had been house arrested by hundreds of police personnel. He demanded the Government for proper investigation on Tuni arson.
