Hyderabad, Taking strong objection to TDP trying to officialise the cash for vote scam and ministers passing incoherent remarks, YSR Congress has said Chandrababu Naidu is accused in the case as President of a political party and the officials have to bear this in mind.
“Chandrababu Naidu replacing police from Andhra contingent at his office and residence is an undemocratic move and his Party’s threats of counter cases are ridiculous,” party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Tuesday.
Numerous ministers and important leaders have made objectionable remarks which are also provocative and challenging that “we too have a government in place and law enforcing authorities at our service and there will be tit for tat should there be any incident.”
Such statements stem out of fear and it goes well with the elected representatives and ministers even but the officials need to work as per the rule book and need not go out of the way as Chandrababu Naidu as president of TDP, an individual, is accused in the scam and not the Chief Minister of the State.
“TDP accusing YSRCP of joining hand with TRS is also baseless. The corruption charges were condemned by TRS, Congress and YSRCP and any democratic party would condemn the scam. We opposed Telangana government on Palamulu project though TDP had an electoral tie-up with TRS in 2009 elections.
Though there is much talk on phone tapping nothing was proved. The ACB top brass too confirmed the same and Chandrababu Naidu himself agreed that it was not his phone that was tapped. TDP leaders are trying to create a situation where regional passions are aroused which is undemocratic,” he said.
