YSRCP demands white paper on secret GOs

Hyderabad, Demanding a white paper on the 700-odd GO’s which are termed as classified ostensibly to cover up its shady land dealings, YSR Congress has said that TDP has been showing nepotism in allotting large extent of land to a favoured few. ‘No government which has to work in the orbit of transparency can place a whopping 700 Government Orders secretly in the name of classified information which only speaks of the hidden agenda of the TDP government,’ party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Saturday.
We demand the government to release a white paper on the 700 GOs which it has placed as confidential as large extent of land has been going into the hands of the friends and relatives of the Chief Minister and his coterie. There are reports that about 300 crore worth land was given away to a close relative of Nandamuri Balakrishna at Jaggayyapeta for an industry at throw-away price and in Tirupati, Galla Aruna Kumari’s family has been a beneficiary of 50 crore worth land while Rs 360 crore worth land was being given to a friend of Chandrababu Naidu’s son for an IT company at Visakhaptanam for lease at This apart, the Singapore and Japan Companies have been on the prowl in the capital area and the state should bring out a white paper on the GOs to show transparency or place them on public domain as the GOs cannot be confidential forever, she said.
‘The TDP has been accusing the opposition parties of whipping regional passions, but on the contrary it is the State that has been showing nepotism and working for the welfare of its own coterie and family ignoring the state interests,’ she said.
While YSR was chief minister 21 lakh acres was distributed among dalits and the social justice has never been on the agenda of TDP, she said and demanded a white paper on the 700 GOs.
