Ramachandrapuram: The Ramachandrapuram police have behaved in an unruly manner with YSR Congress Party state youth unit president Jakkampudi Raja. SI Nagaraju created ruckus and arrested Jakkampudi Raja for parking the car beside a road. A few months old baby was in the car at the time of the incident. His arrest has caused an uproar in Ramchandrapuram.
Angered by this, the YSRCP supporters and local people have staged a dharna at the Ramachandrapuram police station. The situation was turned tense for sometime at the police station. Jakkampudi Vijayalakshmi came to the police station but she was not allowed inside.
Alleging that the SI spoke rudely and arrested Jakkampudi Raja, the YSRCP leaders have demanded the police to register a case against Nagaraju. They said that the police should have fined if the car parked at wrong place but arresting and behaving rudely is seriously condemned.
Condemning the highhandedness of police, Party district president K.Kannababu demanded the Government to suspend SI Nagaraju.
