YSRCP ahead of all parties in Panchayat polls

Hyderabad, July 24, 2013: With YSRCP- supported
candidates winning majority of the Sarpanch posts in the first phase of the
Panchayat polls, the party has stood first among all political parties at the
end of the first phase of the Panchayat polls on Tuesday.

Despite the conspiracy of the Cong and TDP and their
contesting together in most of the villages to defeat YSRCP-supported candidates,
the party has captured 2326 Sarpanch posts including the unanimously elected
ones and stood ahead of Congress, TDP and TRS.

Congress, TDP and TRS secured second, third and
fourth positions by gaining 2152, 1986 and 534 Sarpanch posts while others and
independents won 1292 posts.
