YSR Padayatra Continues To Inspire All

Tirupati: YSR Congress Party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said that the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy was a mass leader without parallel and that his Padayatra continues to inspire people across the country, and particularly YSRCP cadres even today. Speaking on the occasion of completion of 15 years of former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's Praja Prasthanam, he said that the former CM proved that leaders should come out of their AC rooms and reach out to the masses. "In fact his padayatra has to be inscribed in golden letters in the political history of the country."

Speaking to the media here today, the YSRCP leader asserted that YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alone would be able to bring back Rajanna Rajyam or the governance model of Dr. YSR, in the state. Dr YSR's padayatra, taken up 15 years ago, was successful in exposing the then TDP rule, he pointed out. "The Congress party which was in doldrums at that time, went on to form the government because of the padayatra."

Bhumana recalled that he was fortunate to have walked along with the mass leader for 1475 kilometers. People firmly believed that only when he would become the CM, their problems would be addressed and this was the reason why the common masses will vote for him in the next round of elections, he said.
