YS Jagan vows to get lands back to legitimate owners

Vizag: YSR Congress Party president and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the TDP Government in Andhra Pradesh of illegal land grabbing in the name of land pooling in the state. Strongly slamming the TDP government, the YSRCP chief assured the farmers that a single inch of land will not be allowed taken by the government from farmers and the underprivileged sections.

YS Jagan addressed a mammoth gathering at 'Save Vishakapatnam Mahadharna' against the land grabbing scam in Vishakapatnam district. YS Jagan  interacted with the legitimate owners and lambasted the Chandrababu Naidu government. He demanded a CBI inquiry into the scam to bring the land grabbers to book.
"The land grabbing scam involving 1.06 lakh acres in Vishakapatnam district is the biggest in the history and it happened with the connivance of Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh," he said.
The YSRCP chief also said that thousands of revenue records were tampered to deprive poor farmers of their legitimately owned and assigned lands. Chandrababu is trying to divert the issue and get away with a SIT enquiry. "It is nothing but an eye wash. Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, TDP MLAs, MPs and leaders are on a land grabbing spree. Each one involving in illegal land grabbing will be put behind bars and all lands will be returned to the legitimate owners when YSRCP comes to power in 2019," YS Jagan said.
"It is only one year for you and you will have to pay the price for all your illegal activities," he warned the TDP," he said.
The revenue records are being tampered with and in some cases the records are said to be missing. Even the district collector, who happens to have served in various capacities in the district, has announced that some of the records have gone missing in the Hudud Cylone.
‘I stayed here for 11 days after the Hudud Cyclone. There was gale and rains but not to the extent of washing away the records from strong room of the Collectors Office.
Several leaders from the CPI, CPM and Lok Satta  participated in the Maha dharna and demanded a CBI inquiry into the scam.
The Maha Dharna was attended by thousands of people who came from all the districts. Earlier in the day, YS Jagan got a rousing welcome at the Vizag airport.
