Vijayamma condoles Lakshman Bapuji's death

Sept 21, 2012: YSR Congress Party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma has
expressed her condolences over the death of veteran freedom fighter Konda
Lakshman Bapuji.
Bapuji,97, who has been bed-ridden for the last few days, breathed his last this morning at his
residence here.
In
a statement issued in Hyderabad, Vijayamma conveyed her sympathies to the
bereaved family members of Bapuji. “Bapuji strove hard for the economic and
political emancipation of the Telangana people till his last breath,” Vijayamma
said in her consolence message.
She
said the death of Bapuji, who was committed to the welfare of the Telangana
people, is a void which can’t be filled.
Konda
Lakshman Bapuji, who once gave up his minister’s post for the sake of
Telangana, actively participated in the Non-Mulki agitation of 1951 and the
Telangana agitation of the 1969.
