Hyderabad, Sept 21,
2013: YSR Congress Party on Saturday called upon its rank and file to face the 2014
elections with the same victorious spirit gained in the Panchayat elections and
the earlier by-elections.
Addressing the leaders
at an extended meeting of the party at its central office here, YSR Congress honourary
president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma exhorted the party leaders and activists to work
hard for strengthening the party in the days ahead.
“Our party is hardly
three and a half years old and came out victorious in the recent Panchayat
elections. In the 2012 by-elections also, we were honoured with victory in majority
places. I call upon you to move ahead and take the party forward with the same
spirit,” she exhorted the leaders.
Speaking about YSR’s
efforts to develop all areas in the state equally, she said no region was
neglected during his regime. “He loved all areas equally and took the state
forward giving equal importance to both welfare schemes and development,” she
said, adding party cadres should work with the same inspiration.
She said the state
would not have witnessed the present crisis if YSR had been alive.
Party MLAs, MLCs, MP, Political
Affairs Committee members, Central Governing Council members, District
coordinators and Mandal level leaders from across the state have attended the
meeting.
