The intolerance of Chandrababu Naidu has percolated to low levels as he had singled out a media house in passing uncharitable remarks, YSR Congress has said and rejected the white paper he released on sand mining stating that it was only an eyewash.
"Chandrababu Naidu releasing a white paper on sand mining is only a cover up bid as the sand and mining mafia pampered by the State had already made a killing and even overruled the objections of sincere revenue officials as was seen in the past and his intolerance to criticism shows that he is scared and guilty as charged,’ party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters.
The very spirit of white paper is defeated with the Chief Minister’s exercise as sand mafia thrived with the active involvement of ruling party members, despite Court directions and the issue was widely reported in the media. The government cannot expect the entire media to support the government all the time. Media has the responsibility of highlighting the failures and irregularities and if it is not liked by the State it shows the low tolerance levels of the leader and Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to announce from any platform as to which media the people should follow, she pointed out.
Dictating people which paper to read and which paper not to read is worse than dictatorship, she said.
