Sig campaign not unconstitutional

Hyderabad, Jan 28,
2013: The signature campaign undertaken by the YSR Congress Party to collect signatures
of people to highlight the harassment being meted out to party president Sri Y.S.
Jagan Mohan Reddy was not unconstitutional.
“In launching the
signature campaign, the party was well within its right to do so and it had not
violated the constitution,” YSRCP state level legal cell meeting opined here on
Sunday.
The meeting, held at
the party headquarters, felt that that the signature campaign only exposed the
Congress party’s political vendetta launched against Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy
through the CBI.
The TDP’s objections
and the Congress party’s propaganda in this regard are only meant to mislead
the public, the legal cell opined. The meeting decided to constitute legal cell
committees in all Mandals to fight the false cases being filed against the
YSRCP leaders, according to party legal cell convener Ch. Nageswara Rao.
Party leaders Dr. MV
Mysura Reddy and PNV Prasad also attended the meeting.
