  • Party president of Visakhapatnam district Gudivada Amarnath
  • Visakhapatnam: YSRCP president of Visakhapatnam district, Gudivada Amarnath, exclaimed that the government had failed in achieving special category status for the state and hence YSRCP was ready to attack the government. He cautioned the government that the fight started by YSRCP for the sanction of special category status would not stop until it was achieved. He released the poster for Jai Andhra Pradesh public meeting to be held on 6th of November in Visakhapatnam.

Speaking on the occasion, Gudivada Amarnath revealed that YSRCP president and the leader of opposition, YS Jagan, had decided to conduct the public meetings at 5 places throughout the state and the first of them would be held at 3 p.m. on the 6th of November in Visakhapatnam at Indira Priyadarshini grounds. He called for party leaders and people to attend and participate in the meeting in huge numbers and make it a success by standing in support of YS Jagan in the struggle for the cause.

Nobody will be scared of the anti-people Government

Gudivada reminded how TDP and BJP Governments selected special category status as their principal agenda during elections and competed to say that the status should be sanctioned to AP for 5, 10 and 15 years. He also reminded how YS Jagan had been conducting indefinite hunger strikes, relay hunger strikes and agitations in demand for the sanction of the status. He questioned how Chandrababu could welcome the press note released by Arun Jaitley in the name of special assistance mentioning only those things that had already been mentioned in the state's reorganisation act while making it seem as a great help to the state.

YSRCP had decided to hold huge public meetings in order to raise awareness amongst the people of the state about Chandrababu's deception in the matter of special category status, informed Gudivada. He slammed the way cases were being imposed on the students participating in the fight for special status as per PD act. He expressed joy about the huge number of the youth that had participated in Yuvabheri programme held at Kurnool in spite of being threatened by the Government. He confided that nobody would be scared of the fake threats and declared that YSRCP would keep fighting until the status was achieved.
