Nandyal: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday questioned the TDP's poll promises about smart city, airport and IIIT for Kurnool that were never implemented in the past three years.
Braving incessant rains on Sunday, the YSRCP chief addressed a mammoth crowd and listed out the promises made by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu during the 2014 assembly elections. "Not a single promise was fulfilled nor a foundation stone laid during the past three years by the TDP government. As the by-poll schedule was announced for Nandyal, the entire TDP leadership descended on the town with their list of fake promises," YS Jagan said.
Farmers were duped by Chandrababu Naidu with his promise to waive-off Rs 87,612 crore of farm loans, YS Jagan said and added that not a rupee was waived by the government. "Similarly, every section of the society was fooled by the TDP government with fake promises. Number of belt shops are on the rise, health services are on the decline and housing for the poor has remained on paper only," he said.
