Nellore: Nellore Rural MLA, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, in the District Coordinating and Supervision Committee meeting, brought many issues to the notice of the collector. Speaking on this occasion, he stated that the bypass junctions of Nellore city had become death zones. Highways leading to Bujabuja Nellore and Golagamudi and the bridges and the bypass roads at Kasuparthipadu Cross, children's park, NTR Nagar, Rajupalem junctions had reached a devastated state, he stated. Mentioning that the officers had gotten proposals ready for the required work after 3 months of appealing, he requested the collector to approve them.
Kotamreddy also mentioned the poor state of handloom workers of Narayanareddypeta. Mentioning that they had not been given housing plots in spite of being given pattas, he appealed for action in support of the families' existence. He demanded for allocation of funds for maintenance of basic amenities in the cemeteries of Nellore Rural. He also requested for arrangement of land for Christian burial grounds and allocation of funds for the same.
Kotamreddy suggested that the collector should give prominence to it and adopt the Rural constituency and develop it, as many people from other areas migrated to the place for livelihood.
