Pedapudi: YSR Congress Legislative Party's deputy floor leader and MLA Uppuleti Kalpana opined that the Maha Sankalpa Deeksha had become to be a TDP's programme, when it actually was the Government's programme. She mentioned that not inviting public representatives to this event was an insult to democracy. She spoke to the media at the residence of Chigurupalli Kanakadurga , the vice-sarpanch of Pedapudi in Movva mandal of Krishna District. She stated that the Nava Nirmana Deeksha held at Kadapa had troubled employees and officials, besides not helping the people in any way. She suggested that the Government stopped wasting money on programmes like this and start concentrating on something useful.
Uppuleti Kalpana slammed the TDP Government for ignoring the promises it had made to people at the time of elections. She remarked that DWCRA system had been ruined by the Government. She mentioned that the Government had promised on the 14th of April, while groundbreaking, to construct 6 lakh houses for the poor under NTR Gruhakalpa scheme but had neither even prepared the list of eligible people for the houses nor released the models or details of material in the 51 days past. She complained that TDP leaders had been pocketing lakhs of crores of rupees through Neeru-Chettu scheme in the name of free supply of mud and sand.
Former sarpanch of Yaddanapudi Puli Kiran Babu, YSRCP leaders Rajulapati Murali, Ch. Edukondalu and district trade union secretary Tata Seshubabu participated in this meeting. Later, Kalpana consoled the bereaved family of Kaila Venkateswara Rao of Narasampalem, in light of recent demise of his son-in-law.
