Make state bandh successful: Sobha

Hyderabad, Aug 28, 2012: YSRCP leader Sobha Nagi Reddy lambasted the TDP leadership for its political drama in the secretariat last night over the power crisis in the state.

Addressing a media conference at the YSRCP office here today, she said the state government has miserably failed to solve the power problem in the state. “The party has called for a state wide bandh on August 31 and I request people to make the bandh a grand success,” she said.

Sobha Nagi Reddy said several industries in the state faced closure due to severe power crisis which was triggered by the inefficient administration of the state government.

“People are voluntarily coming forward to protest against the government’s failure in finding a solution to the power crisis,” she said, adding that the government was well aware of the impending power crisis long back. But the congress government failed to initiate corrective measures, she commented.

Sobha Nagi Reddy said Chief Minister failed miserably in putting pressure on the Centre for ensuring additional gas supplies to feed the gas based power projects. “Our neighboring states have succeeded in solving their problems despite having a small number of MPs at the Centre. We have a large contingent but they are of no use,” she observed.

She said even YSR Government also had faced several problems but YSR found solutions to them with his diplomacy and authority.
