Mohan Reddy when he walked out free on bail on Tuesday after spending 485 days
in Chanchalguda jail
His coming out of jail turned
out to be a mega event in the state capital as thousands of YSRCP activists and
fans of YSR family waited outside for him since morning. The waiting sea of
humanity burst into joy raising Jai Jagan slogans when he walked out free
around 4 PM.
Thousands surged forward to see
him, meet him and shake hands with him when the bullet proof vehicle carrying
him came out of the jail premises.A near stampede situation prevailed at the
gate premises making things difficult for the security men.
From the jail, the convoy
consisting of Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy’s vehicle and the security men’s vehicles
moved towards Nalgonda cross roads as thousands of people lined up the two
sides of the roads and followed it. At most places, people showered flowers on
him and at MJ Market, a group of Muslim brothers gave him flower bouquets and
wished him well. All through the homecoming journey, Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy never found it uncomfortable to greet people with folded hands and shake hands with them wherever possible.
The convoy moved through the pre-announced
roadmap of Chadarghat, MJ Market, Gandhi Bhavan, Nampally, Lakadikapul ,
Khairatabad, GVK Mal,
Nagarjuna
Circle
Jubilee Hills Check Post, Film Nagar and
reached his Lotus Pond residence around 9.30 PM.
Throughout the five and a half
hour snail-paced journey from the Chanchalguda jail to the Lotus Pond, police
went through horrified times as it became difficult for them to control the mob
who went delirious almost at every place and greeted the young leader
heart-fully.
