Jagan, Vijayamma file nominations

Pulivendula (YSR Kadapa
dist)/ Visakhaptanam, April 17, 2014: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YS Vijayamma filed
their nomination papers amidst fanfare for the Pulivendula assembly and
Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituencies respectively on Thursday.

YSRCP President YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy has filed his papers for the Pulivendula assembly constituency with
milling crowds thronging to the venue where he addressed the gathering and
sought their blessings and thanked them for support and cooperation extended to
him and his family members.

“We have gone through
turbulent times for the past five years after the death of YSR and I thank
every one of you for blessing me and our family with your unstinted support at
time of turmoil. I have come here to file my nomination for assembly and in the
next few days we will be having elections. With your support the golden era of
YSR will return to the state,’ he said amidst cheers from the crowd packed to
the capacity.

The state has witnessed
agony and I seek your mandate and will return as Chief Minister of the State
next time he said and appealed to give a thumping and one-sided verdict to the
Party which would a tribute to YSR.

YSR has died in a chopper
crash just 100 days after he was sworn-in as Chief Minister for the second time
in 2009 and the state has plunged into darkness.

I understand the plight of
famers and the hardships you have gone through after the death of YSR and the
political system has gone through a phase of divisive politics and it has
degraded and decayed.

There is no respect for
values and value-based politics and it is time to revive the YSR model of
political system and bring in a welfare state, he said and assured that he
would bring back the golden era of YSR.

This is the first time YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy is contesting for assembly. He was elected to Kadapa Lok
Sabha twice earlier.

His mother and Party
Honorary President, YS Vijayamma, accompanied by her daughter Sharmila, has
filed nomination for Lok Sabha from Visakhaptanam amidst cheers from supporters
and well-wishers.
