I will revoke Kakarapally power project

Tekkali, April 5, 2014: YSR Congress Party
President Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday announced he will do away with
the Thermal Power Station at Kakarapally in Srikakulam district proposed by the
East Coast Energy Private Ltd soon after coming to power.

“I will revoke the Kakarapally thermal power
project on the second day of my assuming power as CM,” he told a sea of
humanity at the YSR Jana Bheri public meeting at Tekkali in Srikakulam district
Thursday evening.

Jagan Mohan Reddy also promised to include
fishermen, Boya and Vaddera communities in the lit of STs. “I already assured
you I will include these communities in STs and I will keep my promise,” he
told the mammoth gathering amid thunderous applause.

Reiterating his strong commitment to usher in the
YSR’s golden era after coming to power, he reminded people that the forthcoming
elections are going to change their destiny.

“The coming elections will change your destiny and
you have to be careful while exercising your franchise. Don’t be taken away by
the fake promises of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu,”

Castigating Naidu over his
impracticable poll promises offering everything free to people, Jagan Mohan
Reddy found fault with his promise of creating over 3.5 Cr jobs for the youth
in the state. “After India gained freedom, only 20 lakh jobs were created till
date in the state. How can Chandrababu create 3.5 Cr jobs overnight?” he asked.

You should elect a leader who
will think of your good, your welfare, your economic progress and who will
permanently stay in your hearts, he appealed to them.  Asserting that he is not making
non-implementable promises like Chandrababu, he said he will implement all his
assurances, come what may.

“I will first sign the files that
will grant Rs.1000 pm to two kids together in a family for going to school
under Amma Vodi scheme, Rs. 750 monthly pension each to the old, widows and the
disabled, establish an agricultural stabilization fund with an amount of Rs.3000
Cr,” he declared and added: ‘I will also announce waiver of DWCKRA loans of
women, bring administration at your door step, build 50 lakh houses for the
poor, restructure the Arogya Sri Scheme, build super specialty hospitals in all
districts, restore 7-hour free power supply during day time for farmers, remove
all belt shops, appoint women as village policewomen, supply power to the poor
at Rs.100 up to 150 units a month and providing employment to all youth.”
