Hyderabad: High Court on Tuesday expressed anger over Andhra Pradesh government for not filing counter on the withdrawal of cases against TDP leaders. The last month, the Court asked the government to submit counters in three weeks. But Chandrababu Naidu's government did not respond.
The ruling party TDP issued GO 123 withdrawing nearly 273 cases pending against the leaders and ministers. Deputy Chief Ministers, Chinarajappa, KE. Krishnamurhty, and ministers like Devineni Uma, K. Ravindra, K. Atchannaidu, and N. Anand Babu were among the others freed from the cases without any prosecution.
YSR Congress Party MLA Ramakrishna Reddy challenged the government order in the court. Responding the petition, Court served notices on the government and asked it to file counter within three weeks.
