Farmer commits suicides due to Crop Waiver fraud

Anantapur: A farmer committed suicide and lost his life, because of the Crop waiver scheme initiated by AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu which turned out to be a cheating.

A young farmer, Kodanda Ram Reddy in Rayapalli, Uravakonda constituency, Anantapur District, committed suicide. He had 6 acres of land on his name and 5 acres of land on his mother’s name.  He took bank loan on the farm land and did not pay assuming the implementation of Crop waiver scheme. Though, there was no progress in the crop waiver scheme implementation, but the old debts piled up. So, he tried for Kharif loan wherein the bank officials have rejected his application. Frustrated farmer, Ram reddy, attempted suicide and consumed the pesticide near the bank premises.
