Disappointment in all sectors: Vijayamma

Nirmal (Adilabad Dt)
Dec 18, 2012:  Wondering whether a
Government exists at all in the state, YSR Congress honourary president Smt.
Y.S. Vijayamma expressed anxiety over the mounting problems of the people in
the Congress rule.

Addressing a huge public
meeting at Nirmal in Adilabad district wherein former Congress MP Indrakaran
Reddy joined the YSR Congress on Monday, Vijayamma lamented that people were
being subjected to multiplicity of problems with a continuous hike of RTC bus
charges and power tariff on the one hand and closure of industries due to power
crisis on the other.

“There is not even a
two-hour power supply in the villages while lakhs of people are losing their
jobs following closure of industries,” she said, adding farmers are also
struggling with scarcity of seeds and increase of fertilizer prices. There is
disappointment everywhere in all sectors, she said.

The meeting observed a
two-minute silence to pay tributes to the Telangana martyrs and to those who
died of shock or committed suicide with heart burn following the sudden and
tragic death of Dr. YSR in 2009.

Smt. Vijayamma said
that YSR initiated six irrigation projects in Adilabad district but all of them
were neglected by the present Government. Pranahita- Chevella project initiated
by Dr. YSR aiming to irrigate 16 lakh acres in Telangana area is also being
neglected, she said.

Finding fault with the
Government for making Mopidevi Venkataramana scapegoat and letting Dharmana
Prasada Rao go scot free in the 26 GOs case, she charged the CBI with obstructing
bail for party president Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy with ulterior motives.

“No case was made out
against Chandrababu Naidu who gifted away lands to Raheja and IMG Bharata
companies but they are haunting Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy with political vendetta,”
Smt. Vijayamma said.
