Hyderabad, Nov 5, 2013: YSR Congress Party
farmers’ wing convener M. S. Nagi Reddy today condemned the action of the organizers
of the international agricultural convention here in denying permission for the
farmers to attend the meeting.
Nagi Reddy told reporters that it is
unfortunate that more than 70 farmers, who came from several districts, were
not allowed to attend the convention which was arranged to discuss the problems
of the farmers and agriculture sector.
He alleged the Government has spent
several crores of public money on the convention arranged by the private
corporate companies.” The CM gave advertisements in the newspapers inviting
farmers for the convention. But, when the farmers came to attend, they were
asked to pay Rs.5800 each for attending the convention,” he said.
