Cancel mining lease to SR Minerals

main opposition came to the fore again with the State government allotting
25-hectare high quality land to a private person who is close to TDP and
the two parties are working for mutual benefit, YSR Congress has said and
demanded an inquiry into the fresh allotment.
“TDP which raised
a hue and cry over the allotment of land for Obulapuram Mines is now silent
when the government has cancelled the land allotted to State Mineral
Development Corporation (APMDC) and gave it to SR Minerals owned by Surender
Babu who is close to TDP,” Party Deputy floor leader, Sobha Nagi Reddy told
reporters here on Thursday.
YSR had allotted 75
hectares of low quality land to OMC and has given 25 hectares of high quality
land to State Mineral Development Corporation. The Kiran Kumar Government has
cancelled the lease to APMDC and allotted it to a private person which shows
the nexus between the ruling party and TDP, she said.
We demand that the
State has to cancel the fresh allotment and explain as to why the high quality
land was taken away from APMDC and given to a private party, she said.
The state
government issuing a show cause notice to APMDC on why it could not get some
clearances is only a ploy to take away the land and to allot it to a person who
is very close to a TDP leader. This shows that the two parties are working for
mutual benefit.
N Chandrababu
Naidu being very categorical that he will not move a no-confidence motion can
be understood by such allocations. The TDP leader ironically has been
repeatedly saying that the State Government has failed on all fronts but when it
comes to no trust vote he is developing cold feet, she said.
YS Jagan Mohan
Reddy has told CBI that it was N Chandrababu Naidu who has given the OMC lease
and he played an active part in the campaign for Sushma Swaraj for Bellary Lok
Sabha seat. However, CBI has shown no inclination to question Chandababu, she said.
