Bandh total, success: YSRCP

Hyderabad, Dec 6, 2013: Terming the Seemandhra bandh
in protest against the cabinet nod to the division of the State as total, YSR
Congress has questioned why TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu has distanced
himself from opposing the division.

“In all the 13 Seemandhra districts the bandh has
been a big success with people voluntarily participating in various forms of
protests against the Delhi arrogance and expressing solidarity with YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy who has been sole leader to fight for the cause of a united state,”
party spokespersons Jupudi Prabhakar Rao and Vasireddy Padma told reporters
here on Friday.

The bandh has been successful as people of the
region have full faith in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the way he is trying his
best to stop the division.

While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is leaving no stone
unturned to keep the State united and is going round the country meeting
leaders of national and regional parties to stall the undemocratic division,
TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu, failed to react on such a crucial issue that
has seen a wave of protests sweeping across the Seemandhra region.

“He has lost control over his Party as lower rung
leaders have given a bandh call instead of the party President. While TDP house
is in utter chaos and dismay, some of the party leaders along with some
Congress leaders are passing uncharitable remarks against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
which is not acceptable.

It is YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who is keeping the united
state flag afloat and is prepared to fight the battle till the last post unlike
the Union Ministers and Congress MPs from the state who are speaking in
multiple voices and are issuing incoherent statements besides targeting our
leader,’ they said.

If the Congress leaders from the State are
concerned about the division, they should quit the party and join the struggle
for a united state. There is no clarity and the stand of MPs and Union
Ministers is chaotic. It they are hurt at the division, they should condemn the
cabinet decision, quit the Party and join the agitation
instead of resorting to gimmickry and targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“Lagadapati Rajagopal in particular has been very
incoherent in his statements and the remarks that Congress has deceived them to
favour YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will have no takers. If he feels deceived, he
should quit Congress instead of indirectly supporting TDP,” they said.

If the Vijayawada MP and others feel that they are
orphaned by the painful division, they should come out of the Party first which
will only lead to the collapse of the government.  This is the only way to
show that they are in favour of keeping the State united. All other talk is
just gimmickry.

Legal options:  YS Jagan Mohan
Reddy has discussed the consequences of Brijesh Kumar Tribunal verdict with
party senior leaders and is exploring the legal options. The Tribunal has done
undue favour to the upper riparian states and has left Andhra Pradesh in the
lurch. This need to be challenged in the Supreme Court has been the Party
contention, they said.
