Are the ministers and MLAs in slumber?

Flooded with complaints
from all segments of people during her Maro Praja Prasthanam in Anantapuram
district, YSR Congress party President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila
lambasted the Kirankumar Reddy Government for going into a deep slumber and not
caring for people’s problems.
During her impromptu
public meetings at several villages in Dharmavaram Mandal on Wednesday and
Thursday, people narrated how they were being subjected to suffering and
harassment by their ruling party MLA due to their allegiance to YSR Congress
Party.
Let alone thinking of
irrigation water to our fields, we are not getting even proper drinking water
daily, they complained to Sharmila. “Just because we are loyal to you, we are
not even allowed to have flexi boards welcoming you,” they told her.
After listening to
their problems, Sharmila consoled them and assured them all their problems
would be solved when YSRCP comes into power. But she didn’t mince her words in
slamming the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.
“Are the ministers and
MLAs in deep slumber? Are you also sleeping like the CM? Except for your chairs
and posts, are you not worried about the people’s problems? Can’t you afford to
supply even drinking water to the people?” Sharmila questioned the Government.
Recalling that YSR
brought 10 TMCs of water to the Penna Balancing Reservoir from Tungabhadra
River during his period, she asked the Government and the ministers as to why
they are not working towards implementing the GO issued in this
connection.
