Proddatur, Dr. YSR District: YSRCP MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy hit out at the ruling Telugu Desam party for turning the Yuvanestham program into an employment allowance program for TDP politicians, instead of being a program for unemployed youth. The senior YSRCP leader was addressing the media here today. He said that this was a fresh attempt to deceive unemployed youth in the state on the eve of elections. Sivaprasad Reddy reminded reporters that elections were a few months away and hence these fake programmes and schemes by the ruling party.
The YSRCP legislator slammed the Chandrababu Naidu government for giving a petty amount as unemployment allowance to youth and a much higher amount to training centres. Sivaprasad Reddy further stated that all these training centres were owned by benamis or proxies of Chandrababu Naidu‘s son and Minister Lokesh.
The Yuvanestham program was a gateway to a massive scam involving hundreds of crores, he said. The senior YSRCP leader said that each year about 25 to 30,000 degree holders came out of colleges in the district and that in a period of four years about 1,10,000 such students would have passed out.
However, only 1,200 candidates were recognised in the district, he pointed out. The government could easily procure details of students who had passed out of all 13 districts, he said. Sivaprasad Reddy said that the amount could then be transferred to the candidate’s account without any process of filtering. The programme initiated by Chandrababu Naidu will lead to widespread resentment and fury among the youth of the state over the next few days, he predicted. Sivaprasad Reddy said that he would take up a protest programme in the next few days on this deception by the TDP government and the injustice done to the YSR district by Chandrababu Naidu.
